Im 18 & sr in hs, i was thinking about trying for baseball, but i don't know if it's worth it. I've had very bad luck with sports (couldn't play soccer this year cause of an injury) & went out for baseball as a soph just to be the last one cut (literally the last since the jv coach couldnt decide & kept me an extra tryout just end up cutting me). Then he said the reason was cause the Vars coach didnt think i would make it, but now that same JV coach is on varsity, & he seemed to at least think i had some talent since he kept me & was the last cut.

However, I didnt play last year or tryout, & theres a lot of politics w/ sports as you're expected to play in private summer leagues (basically the seniors are already picked). This coach said i could be a manager & do all the summer leagues, but i didnt since i was away for summer.

Is it worth being cut again just to see what might happen, or keep some dignity from these sports/politics(& not leave hs as the 1 who was cut again)?

You have nothing to lose by trying out. I don't know how old you are, but human beings don't start to gain fine motor control until they are 15 or older, so your natural abilities may have improved without you knowing it. After 15 the body also gains more stamina and strength and this process continues until your early twenties.

So if you get cut, big deal, play for some other team in a recreational league.

Go try out again. After you worked your tail off in tryouts walk up to the couch and tell him that your here to kick some tail!!!! Do it and dont quit!!! You will regret it 40 years from now if you dont atleast try

I think you better than anyone can answer that question. Ask yourself these questions. If you don't try out will you be kicking yourself for not trying? What happens if you are cut, can you handle it? Just believe in yourself and give it your best shot!!!

I believe that when 1 door closes, another opens (this is what God says). In life, when things do not work out it simply means that is not what is designed for you, especially when you have tried your best

Go for it!!! Then at least you can say you tried, and what if you actually make it? If you don't try, you don't have a shot.

Try out again. You'll be thrilled if you make it, and if you don't what have you lost? Good luck!
