When I was younger (preteen actually) I would be pitted against other kids in my neighborhood, and even my family. By family members. Throw down until someone gives up. Blood was no reason to stop, either. That's how I learned, and that's how my relatives got their start. Can't say it's the ideal way to learn, but I did. I don't know if beat up was a term I'd use, because it's not like we were doing it for a good reason or anything. It was more like a punishment for being weak. Fighting would make you stronger, and then you wouldn't have to do it anymore.

Screwed up, huh?

Attitude can beat skill or brawn any day of the week. If you get an extremely fit/strong opponent or a technically gifted opponent, attitude is the biggest advantage you'll have in that scenerio. The worst people to fight are people with attitude, nomatter how strong or good. But the worst thing that you can do is go into a match or fight with anger instead of aggresion. Anger has the potential to put you into a number of extremely testy situations. Good luck!

I learned through wrestling and MA training. Oh and getting my *** kicked up and down the street a few times. The best lesson I learned though was how not to get in fights. This site should help you out a lot better than any of us can.

I see so we are supposed to teach you to fight becasue you wanna beat somebody up. Thats one of the more pathetic reasons to learn an art but hopefully after you learn a little youll overcome the disadvantage you gave yourself with this attitude

yesterday, some one royally pissed me off, talked bad to me, and totally disrespected me and acted like a complete ***. So what I did was took something from my very first martial arts leason, and just walked away. Just because you know how to fight doesnt mean that you should, and when you become a true martial artist you'll understand this. The chinese symbol for martial art is translated as stop fighting.

Yes it was hard, I lost alot I mean alot of Great people in my life. I never realized till it was to late. Playin Dumb games.

No
That is never fight in temper, no skills and no thought structure makes for a sure loss. AND YOUR REASONING IS OFF, learn to develop your life and become her boss in later years, you win then. Winning is not always about beating up your opponent, it emcompasses more of bettering your life.

Watch boxing, or wrestling (althouh it's fake) or martial arts movies. But anyone could fight if there really angry and fierce. Muscles start pumping and strength increases too.
