I'm naturally Left Handed. The nuns at the Catholic school I used to go to thought I was 'evil' so they tied my left hand behind my back and forced me to write with my right hand. Still, my left handedness could not be denied. I was terrible at writing with my right hand during those school years. After I left I reverted back to my natural way, I do write with my left hand now.
The same goes for my sexual orientation. ;-)

This really is a bit of a parody of the question "At what age did you choose to be straight/gay? And does God disapprove of choosers of a gay lifestyle? You're saying it's just as silly to think that you choose to be left handed, as it is to think that people actually choose to be gay. I think people are born the way they are, and I believe God loves everyone, it doesn't matter what their sexual orientation is. (Or if they're right or left handed! lol!)

Statistically, twins tend to share handedness (approx 75%), therefore handedness has a strong genetic basis. If handedness were environmental, or "learned", it would be reasonable to assume that left handedness would eliminate itself. Why would anyone choose to be left handed, if society hated lefties, and catered to righties?
I'd like to see any survey of pre-schoolers where they claim they "chose" to be left handed.
Lefties don't hurt anyone with their left handedness, and as long as they aren't trying to force me to use my left hand, I really couldn't care less which hand they prefer.

Left-handedness is a genetic trait. Children often favor a hand as early as three months old. Many children learn to use the non-dominant hand out of habit. Many children are ambidextrous until they are seven and these children are often taught to use their right hand to write. There is believed to be a similar genetic connection to homosexuality but since there is such a huge stigma, it is often stifled and we have no true data as to it prevalence.

I'm left handed. My dad and one of my aunts is also left handed, as well as their father. Left handed people are considered to be more artistic, usually. But of course that's just a stereotype. I can't draw stick figures if I tried, lol. But I do love to write. It is difficult being left handed sometimes, but we manage. I can eat with either hand, use the computer mouse with my right hand, and write with my left. Although I write more like a right handed person does, rather than a left handed person. I see most left handed people write with their hand up over the paper and writing downward. I write with my hand straight.
I think you're born knowing what hand you'll use. They used to try to make left handed people write right handed by tying their left hand behind their back. But left handed people will always be better using their left hand. It's genetic.

One does not choose one's handedness, it simply arises out of habit. And there is no evidence to suppose that god prefers left or right handedness -- or even exists.

Good point. :)
We don't choose to be left or right handed...no more than a person chooses who to love. The answers you get will be interesting.

Hm... I've always been right-handed. My 2 sisters and my brother are left-handed. My parents are right-handed.
At what age? Um.... whenever my DNA formed.

You should research this subject. You may have a propensity to favor one hand, but this is also something that is learned. There is no such thing as a handedness gene either. It is how someone learns that is wired into their brain.
