One reason is because you and I are part of a much larger spiritual battle—a cosmic battle between God and the devil. The Bible warns, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against ... the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12).
Never forget: Satan is absolutely opposed to God, and his single goal is to stop God's work—including His work in our lives. When we come to Christ, we change sides (as it were), moving our citizenship from Satan's kingdom to God's Kingdom. Now our goal is to follow Christ and become more like Him.
But this doesn't mean Satan is going to leave us alone! He may even redouble his efforts once we come to Christ, trying to lure us back or get us to compromise our faith. The Bible says, "Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8).
What is the solution? First, don't give the devil a toehold in your life! If old "friends" drag you down, stay away from them. If old habits have you in their grip, ask God to help you replace them with new ways of living. In addition, learn to walk with Christ every day through reading the Bible, prayer and fellowship with other believers. Finally, don't rely on your own strength to win the battle but on Christ and His strength.

Honey nothing is ever easy and that includes being a christian. Get into a youth group, talk to the pastor about what you are feeling. I have hard times being a christian but it has made me grow into a mature person. Being a youth is very hard and my teenage years were difficult. You will get through this. God loves you and Be encouraged God will always welcome you with open arms when you stray and we all do. I have. Peace be with you.

being a Christian is hard at times, because standing up for right, and doing the right thing is sometimes very hard, when everyone else seems to be doing the opposite.
The reason it is hard, is summarised by Paul in Romans 8 - worth a read, esp vs 1-11. We are sinful by nature, and will continue to be slaves to sin, unless we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us to recreate us so that we have a new heart that delights to do the will of God (as David said in Psalms). When God controls the heart, it is easy to do his will, because we want to please him.
Its sad to hear answers from others like "just stop going to church then you will feel better" - this is true because if you do this, you are now a slave to sin, following the devils way - and this is easy because it comes naturally for us! Going against the flow is harder, but it is the right thing to do.
May God bless you - keep praying for strength from Him.

I have experienced the same thing. We have to "come to ourselves" like the prodigal son and return fully to the Father. But when you've stepped away from prayer and study of the bible you step away from God's presence and peace in your life and once you are out so far it's hard to get back. Something has to shake us into the reality of truth that we can't live with out God or do anything worth while. Just keep praying and study His word, maybe a fast will help, but Jesus said He'd never leave nor forsake us and that He'd be with us until the end of the age. Be encouraged my beautiful Christian sister!! God Bless.

Everything concerning a relationship with God, is based on faith/trust, not logic or reasoning.
Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean "not" on your understanding, reasoning or logic {amplified bible), in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path.
It might give you some peace of mind, and contentment, to talk to God, trust, and put it in his hands. Take one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow. Be anxious for nothing, but in all things, pray, trusting Him.
I am not a christian, but I have read the bible, remembering these words. I am Buddhist, and we wish all people to be free from suffering, and wish them to have peace of mind, and happiness.
And the walk, the life of faith/trust is difficult often, but that is what is required, not reasoning or logic, in order to have a good, healthy relationship with God.
Hope this helps some, though I am not christian, I do still care.
P.S. : the helpful advice from two people who appear to be christians by the names of
Nana and JC are very good, encouraging answers. And please do not ever e-mail anyone one Yahoo Answers directly, as someone did give you their e-mail address. You probably already know this.

In short, Jesus told us it would be a difficult journey. And it's just that... a journey. You will have ups and downs. When down, turn to God and pray for guidance and watch for it. He will lead you.
It would be smart to plug in to a Youth Group so you can have some encouragment. And remember, God loves you no matter whether you are doing good or bad. It's about what's in your heart!!
May you be blessed!

you think CHRISTIANITY is HARD? try wearing a pentacle around your neck everyday. (a symbol of witchcraft) At first I had things THROWN at me in school, was forcibly removed from restaurants and stores also had people showing up on my door step with holy water waiting for me to open the door so they could wash the evil outta me and 'SAVE' me. I DON'T NEED OR WANT TO BE SAVED. there is no one and nothing to save me from. I was a christian and let me tell you. It was a walk in the park. Walken around with a cross of a dying tortured man is apparently more socially acceptable then a star and a circle.
I mean could people just get over it. Hope you do Well on your path. Blessed Be!

Jesus said that His way is thehard and narrow road. It's not easy but there are great rewards for those who are determined to walk with Him. Just remember, that He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. 1 john 4:4
In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37
Don't give up, keep relying and trusting in Him. Bless you.

Because Satan doesn't want you to follow God's way. He helps make it hard, he's not the only reason though....life isn't easy. David said it best in Psalm 23, Tho I walk through the vally of Shadow and death thou art with me. Trust God is with you and will help you get back on track.
Keep praying and reading His word.
I'll be praying for you my sibling in Christ.

being a Christian is hard beacause you are suposed to be a good samaritain and that there are so many rules and the fact of getting back on track with God and i think i need to do that too and if you are a Christian and didnt say the sinners prayer please say a prayer to God and ask Jesus into your heart if you have faith and truly believe that He died on the cross for your sins and that if you ask Him to remove your sins He shall cast them into the sea of forgetfulness and you will be saved
