I THINK I'm in love with a man who I know only likes me for physical connections. However there's someone else who I've been friends with for nearly 2 yrs & we're getting closer (just been to his sis' wedding with him) but he's never made a move on me & it's only intuition that makes me think he likes me. Do I accept his attentions though I can't imagine being with any1 except my lover?

I have been in a similar situ before and I would say that you should NOT settle for either. The guy you love is having his cake and eating it, he is happy to continue having sex with you but does not want any ties it would seem!
Also, it sounds like you care for the other guy but not in the same way he likes you.
You should never 'settle' for anyone! You will find someone who truly deserves your love one day, but i personally dont think its either guy you have mentioned (sorry)

the dude who is using you for sex (even if it is mutual) get rid of ohim. after 'years' of having a relationship based on SEX only, im pretty sure if he DID have feelings for you, he would have had them by now but obviously not, obviously he still gets hard for you, knows you will let him do you whenever he wants, why have a relationship on that? even if yo utwo DID have feelings for each other, guaranteed HIS would be cheap and wouldnt last long! can you really see yourself GOING for another guy in a serious relationshhip (someone that actually RESPECTS you) while u still have this 'affair' happening? do you REALLY think if something happened to you or you had to move away that he would care? im pretty sure hed just find another FTF and have no second thoughts. youre worth more than that an can do so much better. im not telling you to go for your friend who you think may have feelings for you, never go for 2nd best because your hearts not in it and its not fair on him is it if you know deep down the feelings arent mutual. my advice, get over the manwhore, dont go for the other guy even though he sounds nice (unless you realise your feelings for him ARE genuine etc not just because he liked you first), go out, get a coffee with some female friends an just girl talk. peace out.

If the guy you're in love with only likes you for physical connections, then it seems like you already are putting up with second best... everyone deserves better than that. Only go for something with this other guy if you are 100% sure otherwise you could cause a lot of hurt and lose a friend.

To be perfectly honest, if you carry on seeing this man knowing he only wants to sleep with you you will feel like rubbish and send off 'slapper' signals.
You have got to think of your future here, while you are in a 'relationship' that is going nowhere, it is stopping you from meeting anyone decent.
If you break it off with your lover, the chances are that you will focus on your friend and see him in a different light. MAybe he will not seem like second best anymore.

Why are you selling your self short, by being with a man who you think only wants you for physical connections? Is that all you want out of life? And are you sure that is all your lover wants from you? If so, I personally would move on....But it's your choice.

no, never settle for second best in your whole life but i dont think you shouldnt wait around for this guy all or nothing ask him out if he say no then he aint worth (he must be an idoit if he turns down a girl like) but you should play this other guy along.go out and find a better guy. you live life dont waste it could be the only one your going to get live it to the full no point waiting for someone esle to make up there mind
