Ok....first, never put saran wrap...never....REALLY ....NEVER...
Also, never put baby powder.....EVER.....where you do people come off answering when you know jack?
You can only do upper body work for awhile. Get over it. You wreck your tattoo it is all on you. Ask YOUR ARTIST when you can do normal workouts. We have no idea how your skin reacted, how much work was involved in it, etc.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. (In this case, maybe lay off the cake until you can work out again, LOL!)

You can't work out at most gyms without wearing closed-toe shoes. Doing so while working out right now could/would mess the tattoo, what with the sweat and rubbing of the shoe. I suppose in your case upper body stuff might still work if you're careful & it's light.
People have said wait two weeks. Minimally, you're going to want to wait to finish the peeling. My tracings generally heal within a week, but shading & coloring take longer. I'd still rather not take chances.
You have my sympathies, but I don't think you can or should. I just got work done late last week and I missed my Friday, weekend and will miss today's workout. I feel like such a slug...

They recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before you continue working out since you don't need the sweat working down on your foot which can cause the ink to run and your tattoo would be all blotchy.
I suggest asking your tattoo artist whats best.
If you must work out i would at home for awhile doing some light yoga as that way you can be barefoot which would ultimately be better in the long run.

you cant work out while the tattoo is healing you should not cover it with anything and especially NEVER put saran wrap on it you need to stay out of closed toe shoes for at least a couple of weeks, I am going to get a tat done on my foot but its winter so I am going to wait until the weather is nice enough to wear flip flops if I absolutely need to wear shoes at all.

you HAVE to work out? you shouldn't wear shoes for 2 weeks. two WHOLE weeks without socks or shoes. it will most likely mess up your tattoo and really hurt your foot. that is something you should have thought of before you got the tattoo. you need to stay off of your foot for a few days and keep it elevated as much as possible. i guess you should do situps or something?

Put bacitracin or something of that sort on top and cover it with saran wrap and put on your sock.I swear it worked on all 3 of mine;even the one on my left foot.
