You don't need an 800 number since you obviously have a computer with internet access. Just go to irs.gov and on the bottom left side click on "where's my refund" and follow the instructions.

Just click on this IRS link and type in your social security number, filing status and amount of refund and it will tell you when to expect it:

https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp

You have to give the automated refund service the same info when you call as well, in order to receive an info about your refund.

Go to irs.gov...., look for ......, " where's my refund". You will need your social security number,,,,how you filed.. ( singles, married, head of household.... etc)..,and the exact dollar amount of the refund you are expecting.
