Hi guys,
There is this really hot guy at work... I really like him, but I'm not sure if the feeling is mutual. We flirt back and forth all day but he said he would never date a co-worker and when I invited him over to break the ice outside of work he declined and said he had other stuff to do tonight.

Does this guy actually like me or is he just jerking me around?

By the way, I'm a mother of a 14 month old baby... Is having a child an automatic deal-breaker when it comes to dating a guy with no kids? (he doesn't have any).

By the way, my baby does have a dad that adores her and takes her regularly... So I'm not looking for a daddy... Does this help any?

If you really want to get the real story from him start more casually get some friends together to out and invite him along. While out start chatting him up and see where it leads. If he's not interested you'll know pretty quickly. Also having a child isn't an automatic deal breaker, but some guy's think if you have a child then every date night will be ruined. Keep looking girl, the good ones turn up when you least expect them.

I'd say he is probably just flirting and being friendly, dating co-workers can be a tricky thing. Having a kid isn't always a deal breaker, it depends on the type of guy and where he is in his life. Some guys worry that if things get serious they will be responsible for the child, also that they won't connect with the child. That's just my opinion based on what I have seen with single woman with kids.

Well its pretty easy to like people at work. You see them all time and you get used to them. If he told you he doesnt date people from work, more then likely he's telling you the truth. So I would say just keep what you have with him at work and just leave it at work.
And not always is having a baby a deal breaker. To some guys it shows them that you like to have sex. So be carefull, them guys arent looking for a relationship, just a booty call. (I know I used to be that way)

i flirt with all the girls at work. its all for fun. we all have a good time. i've dated a girl form work it went o.k. i don't think it would be a deal - breaker. i like this girl in different state that has a 5 year old son.

having a child would not be a deal breaker and maybe he was serious about not dating a co worker --- it can lead to many complications --- he may like you he is just sticking to his guns

Flirting at work one thing, actually doing something about it (meeting after work) is another. If he doesn't want to carry it further because you've got a kid, you wouldn't want him anyway.

Hard to say. He might not be flirting with you in that way. He could just be flirting because he is bored at work.

i'd say he does not like you.

seems he was just using an excuse not to hurt your feelings.

he may or may not get into women that have kids.

to me kids are the most important thing on this earth, but not all feel like that.

and doesn't interfere how i feel about someone.

i knew a friend that dated a girl that worked with him.

they broke up and there was so much problems at work and the manager. she ended up quitting the job. so it might be either or for you.

but if you think you two can make it work, go for it.
