My ayah (my Kenyan[Africa] nurse) told me "money is the root of all evil'. Now at 61 yrs I KNOW she was 200% correct. Today I discovered the term Bling refers having jewellry (Yuk) and showing off wealth. I feel this is so REVOLTING.
Every day, like any normal person, I feel guilt for liking my house, my books, my computer and my food.
[I do NOT believe in god(- the bible disproves a god; also I've done bad things in my life so would not be entitled to believe in a supreme being)]
But some of these Satanic rappers are HYPOCRITICAL enough to talk about a god when they are worshipping a pagan god as in Babylon, ancient Mesopatamia and all those ancient historical places you learnt about at school.
Any-body else feel as revolted by this bling thing as I do. What can we do to stop it when people are starving as we write.

Food - I enjoy it too much. I spend some of my disabilty pension on nice restaurants instead of giving it to charity
I am a VERY lucky person - two incredibly wonderful daughters, nice to fantasic son-in-laws, tremendous grand-children; a job as a teacher that made me so happy I used sing going to work. OK. such bad health that I died in 2001but I'm still here.
AND I have rainbows, a garden, books I love etc and yes I'm too damn selfish to be poor again as I was when I was an abused wife, then a single Mum. I like being me but wish I could do more for others, my ill-health prevents that.

I don't like the word because its an over-used slang term and not proper English (despite the fact that its in the dictionary).

As for the starving people in the world I think there is only one way to help them, but its a way that no one seems to want to pursue: population control. No, I'm not talking about killing people to lower the population, I'm talking about promoting birth control and abstinence as a way to lowering the global birth rate. In this way there would be fewer people in the world which would allow for more wealth to reach more people.

Wow! Do I ever feel sorry for you! How unhappy must you be with yourself and your life to feel so much hatred and be so judgmental of others. If you don't believe in a God then how can you believe in Satan? That makes no sense. How can there be evil in your world when there obviously is no good. I feel bad for you that you think that good or having something good (like a home or money) is something to feel guilty about? That's some twisted thinking there!

If you want people to stop starving then I suggest that "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." As Mahatma Gandhi once said. He was the ultimate example to us all.

Money is not the root of all evil. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Money is simply a form of energy. You either attract it to you or repel it from you by the way you think about it.

I suggest you spend a little less time worrying about rappers and other people and their bling and a little more time looking within.

God bless you!

Personally I find most things associated with rap very evil. It is a disgusting display of materialism, lust and vulgarity. I wish it would go away but the best I can do is keep it out of my house.

You have no reason for feeling guilty about eating and having a roof over your head. It's when you place greater value on these things than you do on Love, people or God that there is a problem.

May God Bless you.

First of all it is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. Money in an of itself is not evil. By itself it can't bribe people, pay for drugs, or cause someone to kill someone. It is man and his greed that does all of that for the love of money. Anyway, thank you for pointing out what I've been saying about rappers and other musical artists, actors and actresses etc. for the longest! What god are they thanking when the work they've done is sexually immoral, violent and vulgar in nature? If God is to be thanked He should be thanked for the MERCY He's shown them while they compel others to sin greatly before Him!

It is the love of money, or love of bling or excessive love of anything above a love for God that is the root of all evil.
At the heart of these is the the sin of pride.

i'm sorry you have to live your life feeling guilty for - well everything. thats very sad. bling is just a stupid name for big gody jewlery to try to prove your lack of taste, i think. i worship many pagan gods since i'm pagan, and i don't have any "bling" and none of my many pagan friends do either. i am proud of my many accomplishments and give much to charity and treat all things with respect. please try to enjoy your life more, it is a true gift from the gods - yours and mine : )

You feel guilty for eating? Wow. Are you SURE you're not catholic? Because there's no reason to feel guilty for being able to survive. Unless you were brainwashed at a young age.
