the f c c doesnt have much to say about it it would be the s e c securities and exchange commission that could block the merger

The F.C.C. has NO authority over Sirius, Xm on the otherhand, its channels can be found on regular radio so it's FCC regulated. But NO The FCC can't do any thing about this. Pretty soon AM/FM is in the past.

Because XM/Sirius still face competition from ground based radio I doubt the FCC would nix the decision because the new company wouldn't really have a monopoly over the radio. That's just a guess though.

It sounds very much like it is going to happen. But I would much rather have Sirius separate from XM. XM sucks.

they have already merged, i got a email last week from sirius.

looks like it, i have a lifetime deal on sirius i hope this merger wont screw it up.
