Will Kasey finish in the top 5 this year or will he be a flop. I'm hoping he'll do good but i don't know yet.

1. He is going to be suspended for 3 races for punching Kurt Busch in the head.
2. He will win the next 9 events following the suspension.
3. He will then throw his hat in the ring for the Republican Presidential candidate.
4. He is going to then help Brittany sober up.
5. Then he is going to teach Tony Stewart how to do an interview without saying "but aahh" or "so ahh" or even just "aaaahhhh"... That frickin drives me nuts.
6. He is then going to announce that he started his own nextel cup team and picked Ward Burton to be the driver.
7. Then he will win the next 17 races in a row with ward finishing second in every one.
8. He will then be awarded the 2007 Nextel Cup Champion.
9. Then he will be elected the next president of the United States.
The end....

Kasey will contend for the championship. IMO, he will win it, but I am biased... There are several reasons he will be great:
1. New nose on the Dodge Chargers. Last year Kasey was fine if he was up front, but couldn't always get his car to handle in traffic (like the other Dodge drivers).
2. He is getting to be more of a "smart" driver every race. He is much more patient and knows what the impact of mental mistakes are (i.e. Indy, Watkin's Glen, Kansas and Atlanta last year).
3. Elliott Sadler will be a help to him. Kasey is an AWFUL road course racer. Elliott is one of the better. Plus, the coaching by Boris Said. He should improve.
4. He is becoming a MUCH better plate racer. His last two finishes are both top-10. He ran mid pack most of the day due to lack of drafting help. At one point, he was far back in the 2nd pack. He and Reed Sorenson hooked up and caught up to the lead pack.
5. Kasey has a very good shot at winning at over 50% of the tracks. Wins could come easily at Las Vegas, Michigan, Atlanta, Texas, Lowe's, California 2, Richmond, Indy, Darlington, Loudon, and Homestead.

So, Kasey will be awesome this year. I know he is 32nd in points now, but Ray Evernham appealed the point penalty. If the appeal is won, he will be 19th in points.

I really think that he'll be a Top 5 finisher this year. The 9 team is definitely a Chase contender. He did well at Daytona and would have had a good finish at Fontana if his engine hadn't gone south. He improved a lot last year and I know he'll build upon that during the course of this year.

I beileve he paid attention to last years champ. Don't go for the win, hang out in the back and be consistant like the closet fags do. Jeff does Jimmy in the closet. That was wrong but so true. Kasey wants to race and race hard, but even though last year he had the most poles and wins that wasn't concered consistant. They screwed him out of points. The champ sat back and only made sure he keep in the top 5. That was considered consistant. Like I said before it's not how well you can race but how well you play the game, even though you want to race hard to win!!!

One bad race isn't going to make Kasey a flop. Texas is his track and so is Lowes. Kasey is far from a flop and he will win 8 races and have fun doing it.

I think he can win the championship this year. He will make up those points like that. Next week he might get his points back. Ray appeled all of his team points penalties. We will not know until next week sometime. Go KAsey the 07 champ.

never say never, there's 24 more races before the chase begins, remeber??? kahne's going to awesome this year, every year he gets more mature and learns from the year before of what he could of done better, oh and by the way to the person, seeing kahne being president would be awesome but he couldn't do it next year cause he's not 35 yet.
