Are you more forgiving? Have you let go of the bitterness? If not...why not?

I'm not a "religious" person. I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

I am not the same person I was before asking Jesus into my heart. I can't image my life without him. I can sum it up in one word though...

Lost.

Religion does not change anyone. A true relationship with Christ our Lord and Savior will, in all the ways you've mentioned and then some.

I take it you are a christian. I am not a christian, but am highly religous. Religion has changed my life tremendously. I did not even believe in GOD till HE came. Since then, I have cleansed myself from sin. Changed many habits. I still have malice, but that comes along with my personality. But don't confuse that with sin. Two different things. I choose not to change whom I am. I have never gone to church nor have been baptised. I was raised atheist. Since embracing religion, I have read the bible. Most christians have not even read it. And I follow the quran. I have learned about my ancestors and the meaning to the word "respect". I have learned what "my" meaning of life is. I may not be happy right now, but that does not mean I will not be happy tommorow. I have learned that I can share a conscious thought with my lord. I have learned that HE is me, but I am not HIM. So in an essential, I AM.

Has it changed the way I think?-Drastically/Tremendously

The way you see and respond to others?- I used to be a rude individual with a kind charm. Still the same, but a little tweeked. Now I am just honest with a kind charm:)*wink*

What about your heart, has it changed?-Without a question/doubt. But it doesn't come back in return. But I guess that's just life.

PEACE!

No religion ever changed me.
But a real relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did.
What was impossible for man has proven entirely possible for God!
Amen, and Amen!

I had to add this for the person "my publicist..." with his reference to the evil man Fred Phelps...
Even though he claims to be a Christian, he is not, nor is he really affiliated with the Baptist faith. They have disavowed him but apparently cannot force him to not use Baptist in the name of his church. He twists the Bible to make it his own and he is sick enough that if he wanted to he could do the same with any other religion, ie Buddhism and do all he does in the name of Buddha.

I am almost 180 degrees out from where I started from.
To tell you what Jesus has done for me would take way more space then you would want.
There was a neon sign in Tacoma Washington that was on the way to my favorite bar. It read "Jesus is the answer" I used to laugh and make comments to rude for even R&S. Well 20 years later. Jesus is the answer.

Shalom.

I was a Catholic for over 25 years. I converted to Buddhism in my 30's. It really changed my perspective on life. I realized it was better to be good for the sake of it, instead of being good to "appease" a "God" and get into Heaven. I learned that if I spend my life regretting the past things I have done or worrying about the future, then I never live in the "present". I now know that life is precious, but death is not to be feared, no one escapes it. Nothing is permanent, so enjoy all, the love, life and gifts you have, but don't become obsessed or attached to them. These are lessons that I did not learn with Catholicism. Buddhism has also made me calmer and more tolerant. I am glad I saw the "light"! :)

i'm an atheist, and it's because of the lack of satisfaction religion gave me. it changed the way i thought - it made me realize that there is no god and that it's all a scam for money. it didn't change the way that i see and respond to others - only fanatics - now i can laugh at them, and realize that it's not their fault. my heart has not changed, it's still a standard issue human heart. it's not time to change my religion, but i'm sure you would be more than happy to shove some good ol fashioned christianity down my throat. i'm sure you are going to pray for me now, and assume that i am angry because i don't "know" god. whatever.

Yes my religion did change me. I used to be a church going christian, however through reading the bible I became an agnostic. As far as my morals, I know I am not amoral or immoral. And, I am not a hypocrite that's for sure. As far as having to change. I already did. The bible led me away from God.

What ever I am I reflect my religion.I seem to thank my God for everything he blesses me with.I just can't stand people killing the voice of right.I can't stand people doing wrong and something in me forces me to tell these people to do the right thing instead of the wrong. To make them walk on the right path:)

Christ has changed me. I fall away and I come back to him yet he still forgives me. Being a christian isn't easy and it never will. There are many temptations in ths world. Sex for me has been the biggest killer in my relationship with god
