If you get stretchmarks in the area, then that would affect the tattoo. Unless you get extremely large, though, it shouldn't be a problem with flabby skin. Aging, well that's another problem all together. But by then you prob. won't care anyway.

At the age of 19 I got a tattoo in that area of my body. After over 20 years, it still looks good. I've had 3 children by c-section and the worst that was ever done to it was a staple in a leaf! I don't have any stretch marks, etc. in that area. I would think that it would depend on how large the tattoo is and how big you get with pregnancy. A small tattoo should be fine.

I had my tattoo done on my inside of my right hipbone, then found out I was 8 weeks pregnant. I had gestational diabetes and gained a ton of weight 98lbs to 186 by delivery. My OB named the tattoo quasimodo, it has gone back to normal, but has "moved" over some.

After getting pregnant you might need to get it touched up but that all depends on how low you get it and how much weigh you will gain during the pregnancy.
My suggestion is wait til your done having kids then go for it, at least thats what i plan on doing..
Good Luck

it depends on the person really. Some of the moms I know had stretch marks and took great pains in losing the weight or haven't been able to lose it and some were able to get back to their orig size...I prob wouldn't recommend getting one there though until after you've had your kids...

The very fact you ask that indicates you have a fair idea it will look ugly and out of shape over time...and you would be right.

when you get old the tattoo will wrinkle as you grow shorter and your skin becomes... wrinkled...
also, if you get it during pregnancy it will probably get "warped" after the baby... if i were you i would not get a tattoo but if you want go ahead!~
