i got tired of using limewire and ive tried other software programs but i dont trust myself in downloading them because i downloaded some other one (Utorrent, Morpheus and one more i cant remember) and they all manage to ask for some information like personal info. and i just cancelled it and removed them. is there a program where they dont ask for info and where i can download some programs i need.
oh if i download a program what file type should i download (zip, rar, or exe.) lets say i want to download a video converter. i type in the key word and i look for what specific file to download the correct one? if it comes with the serial number and everything.

uTorrent does not ask for any personal info. The only thing you need to do with uTorrent is configure port forwarding between uTorrent and your router. That's it.

Then all you have to do is visit any torrent site, click the download link and when the torrent opens, uTorrent will pop up and ask you to OK the download or Cancel. Really simple and uTorrent is very small, very light and doesn't eat up hardly any CPU / memory.

Most of those things with serial numbers don't work or have viruses.
For most you'd be just as well as buying a genuine one because it will work perfectly, you'll have support and if you download a random programme and it breaks your computer you'll have to pay a lot more to get it fixed than that programme probably cost.

If it's asking for information just put fake stuff in. What sort of stuff is it asking? There is no easy way to do it without paying, otherwise nobody would ever bother buying the real thing.

I would suggest using bit torrents with azurues...you can google it and find it free to download. It shouldnt ask you for any info. Then once you have that program installed then go to sites like mininova.org or piratebay.com demonoid.com stuff like that and download what you want. Keep in mind that a lot of the files come in a wide range of formats so stick with what you know or ask someone or research it. Hope this helps

1. Go buy your software, don't do it illegally. If you're going to ask about this, go somewhere else.
2. You have no clue about how stuff work, find more about computers first.

As an example, I'll answer that one question of yours.
.zip and .rar and basically the same thing, they compress stuff and hold them in one file

.exe is an installer, and is not related to zips or rars.
