I was wondering where on the body to get a tattoo that would not hurt alot & how much does it hurt?

I found the below URL to be fairly on target comparison wise. Other comments made above are appropriate. However, you really shouldn't worry about what isn't *that* big of a deal pain-wise. The pain is temporary, but a tattoo where you don't want it is pretty much permanent.

Besides, I'm one of those supposedly low pain tolerance redheads and so far, so good. A few other here are as well, so it isn't just me.

For the most part, getting a tattoo is just a burning, scratching feeling, nothing to worry about. As to where it would hurt the least, that's different for everyone...everyone has different pain tolerances in different areas, so there's no real answer to that. For me personally, my stomach hurt the least (I also have the side of my lower back and my foot done), even though many people will tell you that's a very painful place to get a tattoo. There's just no way to tell, but no matter where you get it, it's really not going to be that bad.

Out of the 5 I have, the one that hurt the least was on the inside of my right leg; the bottom of it came just an inch or two above the ball-bone of my ankle (the bone that sticks out.) It's a lot more fleshier up there, but the closer you get to that bone, the more it will hurt. The next least-painful one was on my left shoulder blade, directly underneath where a tank-top strap would hit it. It might also be because those two also took less than 5 minutes to complete; I didn't have time to hurt.

I would not base the location of your tattoo on the pain. It's going to hurt regardless of where you get it...some areas will be more sensitive than others....but you don't want the tattoo to lose meaning or anything because you changed locations - mine would have if I changed it's location. Get the tattoo where you WANT to get the tattoo...

The part of the body that has the most skin, or less you have a high pain tolerance then you would fine just about anywhere.

I have 3 on my back and 1 on each wrist.

My right wrist hurt the most as its right near the veins but it was bearable and I'm a girl. ♥

Right. everyone is different if you ask 50 people that got a tattoo on different area's of their body they would all tell you they had different pain or no pain so it just depends on yourself. I got one down one side of my spine and it was easier near my spine than it was away from it.. No one can tell you how any part of your body will deal with the pain and then you could have no pain. That's as honest as I can be good luck.

Boney areas dont hurt as much as the flesh part , flesh part of the body seems to be a bit more tough , the skin is thick so they have to really press down on you to get a good looking tatt

you shouldn't get or not get a tattoo based on whether it will hurt or not.
tattoo pain depends on many things including how well you tolerate pain.
where on your body you are getting tattooed
how experienced your tattoo artist is

there are spots on the body that hurt more like the spine, the feet, the sternum and anything with bone.

Any fatty or meaty place on your body won't hurt as much. IT feels almost like someone is scratching you but it's kind of hot (like temperature hot, not kinky hot) Places with thin skin or bony places or where there are alot of nerve endings hurt more.

If you want a tattoo not to hurt I recommend you get one on the back; preferably the back of your best friend and I guarantee you won't feel a thing.
