more chance for infection, scar tissue will be worse, and bleeding may not subside if bad enough.

I did the same thing. Keep it covered apply an anti-biotic. If didn't get stitches and its been 24 hours its too late to get stitches anyway. The worst you'll have is a noticable scar. But after it heals use Mederma everyday on the scar it will make it less noticble. This stuff really works. plus its #1 doctor recommended for scars.

As long as the wound stays clean and you have not exposed anything that needs coverage (like a nerve,) then the wound will just take longer to heal and the gap will fill in with scar tissue. The healed wound might look more strange than if it were sutured closed, but most wounds heal with time. If you've chosen not to have it sutured closed, you just need to accept a little more risk.

Not every cut need stiches. If it's superficial and the bleeding stopped, there's no problem.......just be careful to wash it every day with clean water and soap. Good luck!

it will still heal but maybe not as fast or have a worse scar. Try butterfly bandages to help pull it together keep it clean and use a good antibiotic such as Neosporin. But stitches aren't that bad you should go to doctor , hospital or clinic tell them you don't want stitches and let them decide which is best for you.

Your discharge training could answer one and all of those questions. At any fee, i'd leave it lined with a minimum of a bandaid and alter it a minimum of as quickly as an afternoon or extra if the wound continues to be oozing. After an afternoon or 2, it is okay to leave it uncovered. yet i'd nonetheless smear it with neosporin. it is going to help save an infection out and help leave much less of a scar. save your arms off of it. it is okay to take a bathtub, yet getting it saturated moist, like in swimming, shouldn't take place till after your stitches are out.

The first two answerers are right, also, it will take quite a bit longer to heal, since the skin is spread. It needs time to produce a wider, larger scab. You will have that scar forever.

first clean the cut good. cover it to keep dirt and germs out of it. keep it clean and dry, it will heal if the cut isn't too deep. be careful though,if it is deep you could get a terrible infection if not properly care for. good luck.

It will just be a darker scar...With stitches you have a chance of completly gettiong rid of your cut.If your cut is deep and you dont get stitches it will be a raised scar and possible grow hair...I suggest stitches, we are such babies that they will put us to sleep....so dont sweat it!

you will have a much bigger scar and longer healing time with more risk of infection. Good luck and God bless and put angels on your pillows.
