The witch was green which was due to mold. And with all the flying monkeys pooping all over the place nobody ever noticed the noxious fumes emanating from the old skank.

well...in wicked the musical on broadway...she doesnt melt in water at all...when they throw the water on her...she falls through a trap door in the floor...it was all a setup between her and the scarecrow (her lover) they then run away together and bath all the time! :)
