It seems I opened a can of worms by asking opinions about the words in God we trust. I will say 90% of the answers were very negative. No one seems to believe any longer. I guess it is sad to hear that the very person I stand next to anywhere in public has no God in their life. I guess that most of you no longer believe in Heaven or Hell or life after death. I won't judge any of you it's not my place in life to do so I was just wondering if any one out there believes. I have a heavy heart on this and it makes me want to cry knowing the faith is gone or disappearing from our society.

No, faith isn't gone! You are getting answers from a group of people who don't really represent society in general. As a matter of fact, it seems faith is rising while church attendance declines. Meaning people are believing in God instead of the church which is OK. The church has a tendency to let people down as it's run by men. So don't cry... just pray. Allow God to work through you to your friends and those around you and allow Him to be glorified. You will be blessed.

I believe and so do many others. You can't use a formu like Yahoo Answers to test how many people believe, because when you ask a question like you asked before it is obviously going to attract certain kinds of people more than others, skewing the results.

I know many many people who believe, and many who don't. This is at the core of the culture war our society is going through right now.

I know exactly how you feel, Jan. Dont lose heart. Jesus warned us that this is what the world would be like, before He comes. Hold onto the truth, and for heaven sake, share it with anyone who will listen! There are definitely more that chose death than life. But, He said that too..be watching...

I can only speak for myself. I believe and trust in God. I know it appears that nonbelievers are getting more vocal and false teachings seem to be taking over, but God is always with us. Nobody can change that. Please know that faith is not gone. Pray about it. Seek out people that share your beliefs. Stay strong.

May God Bless you.

I am hopeful that god and religion is disappearing from our life. Unfortunately, I think it will be here for a while longer. Need to wait for the old people to die off, and the younger generation to be properly educated. Although I do think the Internet will help tremendously in eliminating these dangerous myths from our lives.

Belief on god is something very personal. How can we say that does anybody believe? Its actually, psychologically we fear to god not to do any crime or hurt anybody. If we do then we accept the mistake only to the god. I personally feel that its your heart and soul and your belief in the name called GOD.........................If it comes to the question on others then that means that they don't fear for anything and they don't want to accept the fact that God has created this world.
