Try counting to ten before you say anything. The best thing for me personally, is to smack my pillow a bunch of times really hard when I'm angry. Although, if you'd rather not carry around a full sized pillow, a little stress ball works too.

Music, Meditation, But what I think you need is a good dose of
realisation, you know people that anger like you. It's an Anger
Management Class with people, just like you who are in the same boat, maybe less or more. But if you sit there and listen to their stories, you'll probably find at least one, you'll say under your
breath, "Damn I did that same thing last week!" Plus meet new
cool people like uself admitting they have a problem & be able to
give you some pointers. You sound young to me and the sooner
you get this problem dealt with the better "The Man You'll Be"
You got your whole life ahead of you, but as a woman, I could not
handle the Anger. Women are too gentile, fragile, and scared of
guy's like you! Bite the bullet and go, you will get a lot more respect & ladies if you do, family too. I love guys who are up for a
challenge and win! Victory!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best o' Luck, Please don't let me down I'm counting on you and
even more would love a report. "diana2172003@yahoo.ca"
Summer p.s. if you yell back in text, i'll know u failed! (smile)

It all depends on your environment..
if someone at home makes you mad, try taking a 10 minute walk, rain or shine, hot or cold.
Lower your expectations in someone or something, when you expect something, and it's not to your standards, it can be frustrating.
try to really understand your feelings, are you really sad? are you really depressed? are you really scared?
try to stay away from drugs or booze
try to keep your self esteem up by putting you self in the frame of mind that you don't care what people think or say about you, and walk away from any confrontation.
if you're mad at work, take a sick day
and... take an aspirin to lower the blood pressure!

I often feel really angry, i used to get very violent. The old faithful method of counting to ten and thinking about your reasons for being angry really works for me. You could also try mental escapism, when you feel angry, take yourself to another place in your mind where you are happy and relaxed...

I'd say just don't bother with the things that make you angry.
Get out of the situation as quickly as possible.
Take some time to collect your thoughts, then go back with fresh ideas.
It is kind of like asking how to prevent yourself from becoming wet while swimming?
It's not going to happen, so best to jump in, then back out. Thus preventing the length of time you are wet.
