Alright, there is this girl in my spanish class that i like. She just broke up with her b-friend last thursday. I was wondering if it was too early to ask her on a sort of a date. More of a friend date the b-friend and g-friend. Was going to ask her to the movies this weekend and possibly go with my friend and his girlfriend. Hoping the relationship will bloom into something more. And do you think it will give her the wrong idea if i pay for everything when we go?

It's too early. If you do that, you'll end up being called 'the other man'. Ask her if she wants to get together with you and some of your friends (add a few more to the group). Do the big group movie night, but make sure you stay close to her, so she can tell that you're playing close attention to her. And in a few (3-ish) weeks ask her out. Therefore, you know her really well, and the dust will have settled from her last break up.

I don't think that she would get the wrong idea...whoever asks the other person should pay. However, if she insists on paying her share then let her...or she may offer to buy the snacks since you bought the tickets.

As to whether or not it's too soon...how long was she with the other guy? You've probably already given her enough time.

Good luck!

It seems to early to ask her out. I dont think she will take it the wrong way if you pay for everything but I would wait until the next time u and ur friends go out. Good Luck!

if you want her to know youre interested, offer to pay for something. maybe not everything, but maybe some candy for her...something like that so she might realize you like her but it could also be interpreted as a friendly gesture. definetaly take your friend and his girlfriend and maybe another girl so the girl you like doesnt feel as if you look like a couple.

Let her know your interested. If she`s not interested then at least you`ve tried. I wish you luck. She might just need a little time, so give it to her if necessary.
