Hey, listen, brain injury can do all kinds of things.
Be careful though.
All people deserve to be loved.
Best when it's someone who met hem AFTER fixing as much of this as possible, not someone who's going to be tired out within a short time, you know?
Good luck to both of you, apart or together.

As a healthcare provider my gut feeling tells me she has quite a few problems.....but I doubt it is directly caused by the accident you described. Head injury definately causes changes in behavior, but I think she would have given a more lengthy description of the initial accident...and if it was a hematoma then, she would have had surgery at that time. And if the brain injury was that bad then...she would have had alot of medical intervention at that time including therapy. Maybe she did and just didn't go into the details with you. I don't have enough information to give a more definite opinion. The only thing I would say is to involve yourself with someone who has this magnitude of problems will take alot from you...be sure you want to get into this.

It has been five years since the swimming accident. Have there been any other accident. It is not usual to have 5 years pass between an accident and problems showing up. The best thing that you can do is show her a lot of moral and physical (hugs) support whi;le she finds out what is going on. She doesn't need extra stuff besides what she has going on. If it isomething serious you you will know soon and will be able to make decisions based on fact rather than fear. No matter what it turns out to be she will appreciate you supporting her without question. Believe me, it will be worth you little bit of extra effort.

Definetly. I saw on TV, this one guy took a pole to the brain, and after that, he became a totally different person. Nice as pie to most people, but could turn into a raving maniac the next.

Her behavior can definitely be linked to her brain injury. The headache may be caused by the hematoma, which is putting pressure on her brain.

Yes ,it most definitely can. Some of the more serious cases can cause a person to be out of character with their normal self.
