dose sin like lies, and sex before marriage, "pleasing self", and fears of the unknown and fears in alot of areas in life, and smoking and drinking , do these things stop you from connectiing proberly.

All of those are sins and sins are made by the devil. God doesnt want you to sin but I dont think it will neccesarily stop you completely from connecting with God because God is always there for you and he wants to connect with you. The devil creates sin to pull you away from Gods word, Therefore seperating you.

Absolutly!!! Sin diconects us from God. The bible talks about our body being a temple for God. Imagine Living in a house that was always filled wtih smoke or the people there were always drunk. Not a pleasant scene.
The bible also talks about sex before marriage, it says that sex was intended for marriage. It is ultimatly intended to be a spiritual thing. Sex outside of marriage usally doesn't involve love. Sex is an act of love and was created by God.
Fear is an interesting one. There is a healthy kind of fear. Like the fear of God(this took me a while to understand) But Satan will use fear against you. In my case sometimes fear can completely comsume me. That is not of God and if you let it rule you it can take you out. Although, sometimes that kind of fear will bring you to the feet of God and this is pleasing to him as apposed to living in fear.

What do you think? God hates sin and yes, if you do your best to sin as much as possible, then you would not be close to God. Smoking and drinking, that depends. Getting drunk is not that great, having a drink now and then or a smoke, that's not a sin, although if you are trying to be a witness to others and you're standing there in a bar with a drink and a cigarette, taking a drag and saying:"Phhhhh, let me tell you, God is great", I wonder how serious they would take you.

Our connections with God and angels are not such weak connections that they could be hurt by sin and fear. People don't see the connections because they're confused, not because they're afraid. A fear of God makes you closer to Him, because the more you fear Him, the more you respect him, till finally you learn to love Him.

sin is a sin is asin - if you consciously know youve just committed sin you ask for forgiveness from God - -and try not to do it again or ask for guidance and help if its a problem there is nothing to fear in anything other than fearing God - the wrath of God, and as God is a just and righteous God and loving and forgiving too - if you have anything thats bothering you, you have a chat with God anyway you know best - if you put your trust and faith in him he wont let you down thats a promise.

We are all sinners.
If you seriously want to connect to God, then just do it. He knows you and all about you. You cannot hide anything from Him. God will forgive your sins if you are genuine, and He will take away your fears. Don't let the worry of your sins keep you from connecting to God.

I often find that after a session of all those sins you list,that I barely have the energy for fictional beings. You are NOT being judged, regain control, fears grow in dark places.

surely the whole point of faith and religion is the fact that you are sometimes tested and part of that is committing what people believe to be sin? i think some people who commit sin and believe in god it sometimes brings them closer to god as they want forgiveness and others are pushed away by guilt, i personally believe that if we live our lives to the best we can and are kind and loving people if there isd a god he/she will forgive the smaller things that we do and if he/she doesnt then i dont wanna connect anyway????

I don't think so...Some people who ar more religious then me would probably say yes..But I say no..But if you continue to smoke and drink, you'll die...But god doesn't waste his time on killing us for the heck of it...Just go pray and take all your sins away and stuff, see someone who can help yo stop smoking and drinking and lying.....But...I don't think it wold make you un-connected to God and the angels...
