Probably the most dangerous thing in Baños is getting bit by a rabid dog or the volcano erupting. Try to be street smart also especially at night

No more so than anywhere else in Ecuador (apart from the Old Town of Quito).

maybe if there's volcano activity going on at the time, other than that it's pretty quiet, very turistic and not as dangerous as Guayaquil and Quito (in the sense of robberies and stuff) ..... by the way (to Rotc909) its located in south, not central america...

lots of little towns in central america are dangerous nowdays.they have lots of gun toting gangs that are looking to rob or kill or try to kidnap you for money..the people that live their like the Indians are nice and they are getting robbed also for the lands that have taken care of families for many years,,,,if you go try to go with a friend and be really careful good luck

no its not dangerous , its a small town, full of turist, i recomend you another town more quiet, named Vilcabamba, and mi city Loja
