Spring bulbs are good, eg daffodils, snowdrops, tulips. Also for year long interest get some perennials - camellias are gorgeous in spring and then have attactive evergreen foliage all year round. Also why not have hostas, holly bushes, rudbeckia, helenium, perenniual geraniums. One or two nice trees would be nice too such as robinia (beautiful golden yellow foliage) or maybe an acer with its lovely filigree leaves. The choice is yours - have a look at a garden centre or a gardening magazine.

You want perenniels darlin! They're the ones that come up year after year. Some good ones are Lupins, Delphiniums, and Dianthus. Go to a garden centre or nursery now and you should find someone to help and advise you. Happy flower picking!

Go for flowering shrubs that are hardy...you can't go wrong! They're there year in and out! Check how big they will grow though so you know how to space them.

Happy planting!
