What would you do if you and your fiance were in love, but his grown, emotionally cold, "mother hen-type" daughter wanted you "out of the picture" lest she receive less inheritance money, should something happen to him? When the three of you are together in the room, she dotes on him and completely pretends you're not even there. When you talk to her, she gives you one word answers without even looking at you. You know she will be your future daughter-in-law. You ask your boyfriend about her behavior, and he says she's just tired or makes other excuses for her.

Make a stand for yourself. He should stand up for you as his partner, not the behavior of his adult daughter. If money is honestly the issue for the daughter and you refuse to part with your fiance, he should make clear the financial situation. If she has some legal right to money, then make it crystal and legally clear that you don't want her money, couldn't even have her money if you wanted it, and she needs to leave you alone.

If it's your house, let them know you won't have people in your house who don't show you the respect you deserve. If you're not being respected, in whatever way, it might be time to make some new choices.

Ask your fiance about taking a day trip with her somewhere, ask when both of them are together in the room & seem really excited so your fiance will agree. then take her out shopping or whatever, be super nice, and if she continues to be a biotch-confront her. youre older than her, youre going to very much be in her life soon-maybe she is just worried that you will get more attention from daddy than she will. confront her about it when its just the 2 of you.
