Actually, I give up my car at least 4 or 5 days a week... I car-pool to work. The other day or two I have to do the week's groceries and other shopping...which is planned out so I don't have to do any unnecessary driving.
I try to book appointments in a 'smart' way as well.

I'm not sure about the other people I car-pool with, but at least we leave 5 cars off the road 6 days a week going to and from work... that makes me feel pretty good.

I can't wait for alternative fuel cars like the hydrogen-cell ones... I'd like to learn more about them and hope they'll be awesome & non-polluting... (again, I have to be informed)

More people should car-pool or share rides for chores or bike or walk...I know I'm going to try to do more...

See I think this is the problem, I would not I don't think.

And I think it falls into that same trap as "my one vote doesn't matter".

At this point I think popular sentiment would default to, "well I am not going to give up my driving because my one car won't make a difference".

And it's not so far from the truth. Half the country thinks this is a non-issue and the half that at least believes it doesn't have a deep seeded conviction. Not that nobody does, but good luck.

No. I would be willing to use an electric car if the morons would get off their keisters and make them. We have the technology to have cleaner running vehicles, but it sounds like the oil companies will not allow that to happen. It's called greed my friend.

No. "Global warming" is a natural process, and parking your car won't make a bit of difference. Learn for yourself, and quit listening to propoganda.

Yes, if there was adequate public transportation, which there is not.

Therefore, I would rather buy electric, if they ever invent a good one.
