I just bought my computer about a month ago. It has Windows Vista operating system. I tried to go to websites that use java, but it says i dont have java installed. It takes me to a microsoft website, which then states that microsoft operating systems do not come with java anymore. Should I just download it from a 3rd party (sun microsystems) or am i supposed to get something else for my vista? pls help thanks

It's okay to download it from Sun. There's been a long-standing feud between Microsoft and Sun, but Sun invented Java.

Java used to be installed automatically with Windows, but not anymore. Now you simply have to go www.java.com and download it for free.
