My best friend's mum died recently, she didn't want to put a verse on the head stone, instead she had a sculpture of an angel whispering to the headstone made and said that the angel would tell her mum everything. I thought that was lovely and private.

Hello there first of all may I offer my condolences iam really sorry to hear about your mum it must be a very difficult time for you especially if you to make decisions like this cant be easy.
Well first of all decisions like this must come from the heart from your soul do what you feel is right how do you want to remember you mum that is important.

there are places where you give someone information about your loved one and then they write a personalised poem or verse for you based on what you tell them. Do you know any one who can write poetry, if not try searching on the net for personalised poetry or custom poetry, then it will be something special and individual.

It depends what you want to bring out in your mother. There are many verses that could tell who she is and what she is about. I will check this questen in a bit and edit my answer.
