I am doing a speech and I have to say a number that is 1 mcg/m (EPA air mercury safe level). How do I say this?

mcg is usually the abbreviation for "microgram" meaning 1/1000000 (that's millionth) of a gram. So, you would say, "one
microgram per meter" except I can't imagine what would be measured in that kind of unit. So you better check and make sure that you have it right.
