Has anyone heard of, or could point me to a website that would have a recipe for a fudge candy with velveeta cheese as its main ingredient?? An in-law swears she has tried it and it was Good.

Velveeta Fudge

Easy fudge made with cheese.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
8 ounces pasteurized process cheese, Velveeta, cubed
1 1/2 pounds confectioners' sugar, about 5 cups unsifted
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
PREPARATION:
In a large saucepan over medium heat butter and cheese cubes together, stirring frequently; remove from heat. Sift together confectioners' sugar and cocoa; add to cheese, mixing well. Stir in non-fat dry milk, vanilla and nuts. Turn into a 9x9x2-inch pan; chill until firm and cut into squares.
Makes about 3 pounds of Velveeta Fudge.

Velveeta really has no real cheese in it, which makes it a perfect base for fudge.

I've never made it, but yes, the fudge is good. Just don't tell people until they rave over it what's in it.

Velveeta Cheese Fudge:

yum

25 min 10 min prep
1 batch

1/4 lb Velveeta cheese
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
1 lb powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Melt cheese and butter in saucepan over low heat, stirring almost constantly.
2. Sift sugar and cocoa together, stir into cheese butter mixture.
3. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
4. Spread in buttered pans, cool, cut into squares and store in tightly covered tin or container.
