Start with the town. Get in countact with the courthouse their in the town that they met, and maybe your dad will still be there. Most people stay put in one place all their lives.

Look up the town on the internet. Make sure you know the state the town is in. Then look up the name of the court house. Call someone at the the court house and they will help you from there. It is a long shot, but I did find a person I was looking for that way. I did not have to look for long though because that person had died. I am sure that is not the case with your dad though.

I to don't know my real father. My mother refuses to tell me anything about him. Why I don't know. I have not found him but my advice to you is if you know about his family members then you might want to start there. If your not a shy person you might want to use one of these cheesy talk shows like Maury or Montell. Just rember that when you do find him he might not be what you expect and many secrets may come out so make sure you are in a good place and happy with your self before you start this major change in your life. I wish you luck and happy hunting. ( and don't worry your not alone )

I did the same thing and all i did was write to the social security department and gave them my name, my date of birth, place of birth, and then my father's name and then they contacted my father and told him that I was trying to locate him. Then it was up to my father to contact me. He finally did, but now (sad to say) I wished I didn't look for him.
