It's 144,000, 12,000 each from each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
These 144,000 will rule the Kingdom of Heaven with God.
All the rest of the true believers will live on Earth, but the restored Earth, that is like Eden. This will happen after Armageddon.
Anyone who is not a true believer and in good standing with God, will die. JW's don't believe in hell.
So the answer to your question is, that even if they are not the 144,000, and will not be ruling the kingdom of heaven, true believers will be given a paradise on Earth to live in without suffering, sickness or death.

firstly the number you are considering is 144,000. Secondly we do not believe that some people will go to nice heaven and others will go to lesser heaven.
We believe that 144,000 humans will be in heaven, however this is not the plan for most of us. Remember when Adam and Eve were made Jehovah's plan was to have them multiply through out the Earth. This is still the plan. We believe he will restore the Earth for all, not JUST those who take the name Witness, who wish to serve him. There have been many faithful ones before we began calling ourselves Witnesses. Hope this helped.

As you know by all the other answers the correct number is144,000
anointed ones. But I would like address another issue.
There are alot of opinions on this (place) that seem to think that
they know all about Jehovah's Witnessess.From what I can decipher,just about all(excluding witnesses)Dont have a clue
about our beliefs! There is one thing you can be sure,We base our
beliefs and our way of life on the Bible.WE do not pick and choose
what we want out of the Bible, like so many in Christendom do,We
believe in the entire Bible and what it teaches.like it says at
(2Tim.3:16,17)We dont belive that you can be (Just a little bit)
Immoral,or just tell little lies,or Its ok to get drunk every weekend if
you dont break the law,or harm some one else.or You can go to
church 1 day a week and be doing God,s will.We believe that we
are to carry out Christs commandment to preach the Good news
of Gods Kingdom. If people think that is wrong, then again, they are
choosing which of Christs commandments to follow.People
like to say that our teachings are not Scriptural, when in reality
we adhere to Scriptual fact as close as can be done.In conclusion; we are not perfect,we sin daily,we make mistakes
and we certainly dont claim infallibility. We do sincerly belive we
are on the right road(Matt.7:13,14)And we dont really get angry
when others slander or lie about us,we expect it ! Then we know
that we are following closely in Christs footsteps. We believe
the whole Bible..(Rom.15:4)
Some people's children like to get on here and pick a certain
Scripture, interpret it, the way they think should be,then expect a Whole interpretation of some ones belief in
a few thousand words or less.It just does'nt work that way.If you
want to know the truth you have to dig for it.And then you have to be willing to accept it when you do.If your to lazy,or just dont care,
thats up to you.But Gods requirements arent hard to follow, and you will be amazed at the peace of mind it brings. The truth really
does set you free.

144,000 is the number of people that God redeem from earth(revelation 14:1-5), if you read the whole book of revelation you will not find that the great crowd is redeem for earth, people get confused because in chapter 7 of revelation they see both group in front of Jesus, and think that must be in heaven, but the phrase in front of Jesus means that they are approved by Jesus and God, but nobody who criticized JW will show in the revelation where does it says that they great crowd is going to heaven, so you are not supposed to say something that the bible doesn´t but worse is that people who say that all crsithian will go to heaven are telling that Jesus is a liar, because Jesus said in Matthew 5:5 that good people will receive the earth as a gift, when? when Jesus rules the earth with the group chosen from the earth. (revelation 5:10) and the great crowd is uncountable, millions of people.

Are you talking about 144,000?
Most of Witnesses are of the other sheep the ones who will live here on a paradise earth. Most of us are part of the Great crowd. The earlier Christians, along with the
Witnesses of Jehovah God, little flock, have the heavenly calling. This began at Pentecost, 33 C. E

AIDING OTHERS TO SALVATION
PROOF OF LOVE AND INTEGRITY
A MESSAGE OF WARNING
MAKING KNOWN JEHOVAH’S NAME AND PURPOSE
(Psalm 37:10-11) And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(Revelation 21:3-4) With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Jehovah is God's own call, so a capital letter is suitable, no longer decrease case. A witness is somebody who bears testimony, evidence or info or open occupation of one's non secular faith by using words or movements. as a result, Jehovah's Witnesses brazenly profess their worship of Jehovah God, utilising the Bible. As they seem to be a non secular group, basically as Catholics, Baptists or Jews, while concerning them the interest "Witness" (capitalized) is likewise perfect. no one is ordinary with of what Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, angels or demons appear like, as they're spirits and human beings are incapable of "seeing" invisible persons, "what does he appear like" has no bearing on the skill to grant witness as to his invisible potential and imaginitive skill. His advent, the finished universe, is evidence of his existence. And as for his call Jehovah (or Yahweh) or in historical Hebrew "????" the older Bibles use it of their translations, even the King James version at Exodus 3:15, Psalms 80 3:18, Isaiah 12:2 and 26:4. If we as human beings are entitled to our own own names, that's much greater significant that we know and use the call of Almighty God, Jehovah. BTW, i do no longer think of any Jehovah's Witness might checklist your question. regardless of the certainty that that is variety of sarcastic it nevertheless a valid one and we are chuffed to respond to.

if you read revelation it tells you 144,000 will go to heaven that are anointed. it also talks about the meek shall live on earth forever. when Jesus brought Lazarus back from death, he brought him back to earth, if Lazarus was in heaven, what kind of friend would Jesus Christ be. also if he was in heaven, he would of talked about heaven and he did not. fireball we are not a cult. learn what a cult is. I am tired of people saying we are a cult. a cult worships man. we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ. a cult lives in one state and live together. we live with our own families and come and go as we please. you can give me all the thumbs down. kitty I guess you would call Jesus a idiot also because he did the samethings we do at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20
