I find it amusing that those very people who practically scream at the top of their lungs that God never existed try so hard to disprove it. Why try to disprove what you "know" to be false?

I do not think much of it one way or another. I do not believe we will ever be 100% sure where his corpse briefly stayed. This, in my opinion, was to keep future Christians from giving it too much focus, like all the "Holy Sights." Let's face it Catholics aside too many people get all choked up going to the Holy Land and do the stations of the cross and other such things and lose focus on what really happened. The place is not so important, but what was done there.
I do believe some places are good to have exact because it lends credibility to the Bible and gives the ignorant(not said unkindly) a little proof to bolster their fledgling faith.
If you wish to read a good book about some one finding the "body" of Jesus read "A Skeleton in God's Closet" by Paul L. Meier. A dry read if you do not like Archeology

Without specific sources from 30 AD that stay this was the tomb, the find doesn't deserve my time. There are thousands of holes in the ground in Israel, and any of them COULD be the one.
2000 years have passed since them, and the hole in the ground that Jesus was in has been used for other things. All evidence would have disappeared by now being so close to a major city.
(Jesus was also a very common name.)

It isn't a slam dunk, but the odds of all the names lining up the way they do are pretty high. It has Joesph and Mary. Jesus as son and wife Mary with son Judah. And James is mentioned as brother. And they recovered DNA from some of them and the relationships all line up the way they are on the markers.
It is interesting at the least. I will certainly watch the show on March 4 to see all the details. They spent more than a year on it, so I tend to think they have a pretty good case or they (as scientists) wouldn't want the firestorm it will cause.

Anything to do with religion is a money making scheme, and if this place could actually be the burial tomb as claimed, a lot of religious leaders would have to find an honest job. Organized religion is the greatest political machine ever invented, and terribly misused. Love thy neighbor and smite thine enemy.....love your brother and have a holy war. Any argument you want to have can be supported by these doctrines. Best wishes

I believe that the archeaologist who found the tomb in 1988 has stated that the tomb could not be that of Jesus' family since the carbon dating adds 150 years to the time line and that the tomb was of a wealthy family. James Cameron's career needs a boost and he thinks he has found the next "Titanic"

I find it amusing that the justification used by most of the "It must be a hoax" people is that they say the Bible, a book, says Jesus rose from the dead, therefore that can't be his body in the tomb.
So what if the body in the tomb turns out to be Jesus son of Joseph, is that the part that is of most importance?

The only body of Jesus that is currently on this planet is "The Body of Christ"(the church of Jesus Christ). Jesus was raised a long time ago and happily sits at the right hand of the Father.
It is kind of interesting to watch the ploys of the evil one as he tries in vain desperation to shake the faith of some.

The only thing I'll say is that it they were commonly used names back then. It is without a doubt a money making scheme...look at how well the Di Vinci Code book did.

Where the tomb is doesn't even matter.
Y'SHUA has been raised from the dead, as proof of God's acceptance of His sacrifice for our sins, and He is seated at the right hand of Majesty on High.
It is what Y'shua (Jesus) DID and SAID that is important, not the fact that someone thinks they found this or that "proof" or what-ever....
It doesn't matter where noah's ark is -- It happened as it was written in God's Word.
Blessed are those who have NOT seen and yet believe!!
Without FAITH, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.
