Since it's been the home of the President for two centuries, "White House" is used as a synonym for the President and his policies. Newspapers and TV reporters will often say things like "the White House said ..." to mean "President Bush said ..."

It symbolizes the importance of checks and balances in the u.s. governent thats why its located in Foggy BOTTOM and the Capitol on Capitol HILL. To represent that no part of the governent is more powerful than the other. Also the president lives there.

Its the Center of our Great Freedom and Government.

Even with all the goings on good bad and ugly its still the center of Freedom.

it represents the waste of the American people. We can't even visit it anymore. We pay for it but can only see it from a distance.
