Pork is the general term applied to meat that comes from a pig. Bacon speaks of a specific cut.

Pork is a general term for pig. Like pork chops. The chop is the cut of meat. Pork tells you it's pig rather than beef (cow) or lamb or something else.

Bacon is a cut of meat. You can specifiy pork bacon (the good stuff) as opposed to turkey bacon (the healthy stuff) if that helps.....

Bacon is a specific cut of pork off the belly, that is smoked and cured in a certain way. Just as Ham is a specific cut (leg) and different types of Ham are cured in different ways.
