Illegal immigration can be an easy source of terrorism. We have no idea what the identity of the illegals may be. they could be Mexicans, Cubans, Yeminis, or whatever. we do know that every one of them is a law breaker. This country is founded on Law and Order. If you allow people to break laws at will, then this will become anarchy.

Because on 9/11/01 19 illegal immigrants attacked our country, we should definitely have armed troops at the border. Those illegal immigrants had help and Hugo Chavez and Felipe Calderone are busy building their armies here in the USA. Last year's immigrants rights march was simply a precursor to the true invasion that's coming. It was to show the world how easy it is to invade the United States with our government's blessing. It was also to prove how the citizens of the United States don't have the will to have our laws enforced and/or protect our borders. We are the laughing stock of the world -- being a "Nation of Laws" without enforcement.

Also, because 12 million to 20 million people entering any country illegally is an invasion and has proven to be a huge threat to our national security.

If these people were honorable, they wouldn't break the law to come here, they wouldn't break the law to stay here, and they would learn English, and would not create problems for us. Additionally, they would spend their money in the USA, not Mexico or their country of origin. Over $20 billion was sent to Mexico alone last year.

Additionally, the Governor of Illinois' report on Immigration says that 100% of the newly created management jobs in Illinois went to immigrants.

When illegal immigrants have babies born in the USA, they are perpetuating their lawlessness and they are serving as examples to their children that the law means nothing and doesn't apply to them.

Look on the Illinois Government website at the report from the Office of New Americans Advocacy and Policy and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and see how much these immigrant support groups are giving and want to give to these lawbreakers. It's enough to cause a civil war. Nowhere in that report does it state what these illegal immigrants are giving up or doing for the USA. They just take, take, demand, take and demand more. The report is entitled: "For the Benefit of All, Strategic Recommendations to Enhance the State's Role in the Integration of Immigrants in Illinois, Joint Executive Summary Year One". Then go to the LaRaza website and look at their doctrines wherein they and MeCHA advocate the lawlessness of their children. And our government embraces LaRaza and contributes to it. Get informed and spread the word.

Then ask yourself, if these illegal immigrants really wanted to become good citizens of the United States of America, why would they work so hard to make us speak Spanish and why would they continually have their racially oriented ethnic organizations that promote only Hispanics, Latinos, Italians, or whatever. Why can't we just have American Groups and one united nation? My guess is because the don't want it that way. The illegal immigrant agenda supported by Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, Castro of Cuba, North Korea, Iran, and other nations is to bring the United STates to its knees. Since we are a giving nation and our government at all levels is made up of fools, they can come here illegally, get benefits, get the right to vote, have babies who they bring up and teach their subversive ways and can take over the country without firing a shot while demanding that we enforce all the laws against citizens and not enforce the laws against illegal immigrants.

We already have thousands of "National Guard" troops at the border now and all they're allowed to do is "observe". What good is it to have "troops" to guard the border when all they're doing is waving at the "invaders" as they walk across the border into the U.S.?

It would be an insult to put U.S. soldiers along the border. Our soldiers are the best trained "warriors" in the world. They are not "babysitters" or "security guards", they are part of a "lean, mean fighting machine" fighting the war on terrorism.

What we need (as of yesterday!) is to complete the border "security fence" that congress voted for last year (but conveniently didn't fund). We should consult with the Israelis on how to build a "high-tech" fence such as the one they built to keep out terrorists and has proven to be very effective (so far).

Then we need to enforce the existing laws which prohibit hiring illegals by putting more of the larger illegal employers in jail. While we're at it, we should put the CEO of Bank of America in jail for "aiding and abetting" illegals by offering them charge cards and bank accounts without requiring SSN's.

These people come across the border and undercut Americans and take American jobs away from us. I am in favor of legal immigration, however somewhere there is a Doctor, or a scientist that has to wait their turn while these people just walk across. We need immigrants to pick the crops but they should have to come across legally and go back when the harvest is done. As others have said the 10 to 12 million people that are here illegally is taxing the system and taking away from American citizens that need the service.

first i lied in southern california for quite some time and i saw a lot of "border crossings" going on. i lived 1/8 of a mile from mexico, i could watch from my bedroom window. anyone that wanted to hurt the U.S.A. could easily come in like that. second i have seen the impact of illegal aliens in the work force. working for far less money than i chose to work for. i have loss jobs to these kind of "budget cuts" to companies i was working at.
