By the time the wool from the sheep is processed into woolen fabric it is totally different than the unprocessed wool on the sheep. Also if you had a wool sweater on in the rain and let it dry naturally-hanging it up- it wouldn't shrink. It is use of hot water and the heat of a dryer that will shrink your sweater. By the way thanks for giving me something to laugh about. Picturing a flock of sheep shrinking in the rain makes a funny picture.

Ya know, I have often wondered the same thing.
I have also wondered if I threw a cat out the window of my truck, would it be kitty litter?
I also am curious about this one. We get olive oil from squished and pressed olives, so where do we get baby powder and baby oil?
