How do I dye my hair blue? I am Afro-Caribbean so I am sure it is not?

straight forward. Do I have to bleach my hair first or something??

To be honest I wanted to shave it off about 8 months ago but I have reached a compromise of either dyeing it blue or purple and I am serious.

"afrowoman" I'm not the sort of person who cares what people think of me. I don't follow trends to fit in.. I have piercings and tattoos all over the place and really don't care what others think...

I bleach and dye my hair blue every 3 weeks since 4 years ago.

Yes, you will probably have to bleach it and then use a nice rich dye (I use salon strenght bleach 40 vol & powder and then rinse/shampoo and color with manic panic). I would say for your hair type you will probably have to talk to someone at a salon or beauty supply store about the best bleach for your hair. They do have kits that bleach and color your hair at the same time, but I have found that these do not last as long in my hair (I have black/latino/white hair). I have to bleach the roots eery three weeks and redye the rest with the blue as it tends to fade to a aquamarine color.

I have dyed my hair blue before just because I felt like it, lol. It's pretty simple. First you need to go to your beauty supply and get a hair bleach, leave it in until your hair is very blonde, almost white. Rinse the bleach out very very thouroughly, then condition your hair like crazy. Get a blue dye and leave it in your hair (AFTER you washed the bleach out) for 30-45 mins (it needs to stay in a long time because it takes a while to cling to your hair, otherwise your hair will look faded or more greenish) then rinse it out and condition again!

Blue? U having a laugh? Yes, you will have to bleach your hair to pure white first and then put blue dye on it, the dye wont take otherwise! Speak to a hairdresser, they know their stuff better than me!! Why Blue?????

Peroxide can seriously weaken black hair so i would sugest only using it in granule form and washing your with it. This will weaken the colour enough for the dye to take.

Crazy colour comes out very vibrant and you can just use it straight none of that..put a cap and blowdry for an hour crap.

for me it depends upon the girl. Like I might notice a girl with black hair and also think she is totally hot yet see a girl with blond curly hair that is meh and vice versa.
