I want to find some misc bicycle parts to use in a piece that I am painting.

Does anyone know the best place to dig through and find some stuff I could use?

easiest place to find, a bike shop. They usually have a lot of old stuff they will probably never use and will either give it to you for free or for a very cheap price. You could also try a junk yard if you don't mind digging through trash or the smell.

If your after pieces for art work you could get them from a dump or Saint Vinnes. They usually have a pile of incomplete bikes to look through. You will most likely need to take them off yourself.

If you visit your local bike shop they will keep parts for you that they would normally have thrown away.
