My ex and I broke up 7 months ago but we're still really close we still have sex that actually means something. He tells me he wants to be friends but I know there's more. He puts up a pretty hard fight and he's being really strong about only wanting to be friends. So what do I do, do I let him the hell go or stay by his side as a friend?

not only cut the sex off, but give no answering his calls for a day or 2 and say you were 'busy'. him not being able to talk to you when he is calling will make him think about you and reasons why your not there, that way hes actually raising his interest in you. become a challenge to him... giving him the sex without the relationship part is no challenge

Sounds like he has his cake and gets to eat it too. Cut off the sex and see if he still wants to be your friend. Bet not.
