I'm 13 years old and my parents always want me to go to high school and get an education. But I'm in the 9th grade now, and my cranky teacher is a hateful old witch who expects perfection out of me. What am I going to do? Suicide sounds really temping now. What can I do about this problem?-Steve

I am 13 too. I want to do suicide too. I have many reasons though. Think about it though. The school year is almost over. It won't last forever. Only about 15 weeks or so left. Gosh that seems like a long time, but it really isn't. I am not saying that you should or shouldn't do suicide because I have to believe in what
I say before I tell other people to do the same. I am really tempted. Something that stops me is to think of how crushed my parents would be. My cousin did suicide at age 18. It was horrable. Do what you want but explore all your options before you choose.

Did you ever stop to think what makes those teachers cranky? Look at all the different personalities she has to deal with each day! That cranky old teacher wants perfection out of you, because she knows you can do it. She is only looking out for your best interest! Suicide isn't the solution, that's the easy way out, because you don't want to face the fact that you have to work hard in life to better yourself! When one dies they have to meet their maker. Did you think of what excuse you will give God for throwing your life away? And what about your parents and other relatives? Would you like to hurt them that terribly? So stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a good education, believe me, you won't regret it!

I think the problem is the length of view you have changes. Consider your life as a road and sometimes it dips down and other times you are in love and there is nothing better than existence. But your scope is not a lifetime long. It may be six months. With a six month scope you are in danger because the road can dip for that long and then you see no hope in the scope you are using. Some times it is hard to make the scope bigger. There are very few people who are better off not existing.

I'm sure everything in your life feels very overwhelming right now. You're not alone in feeling that way. However, suicide is NOT the answer. It is a long-term solution to a short-term problem. I'll bet you're a very smart young man and THAT is why your teacher is expecting perfection out of you...because she thinks you're capable of it. If that's the case, you should feel good about yourself to know that an adult thinks your capable of such things. I suggest two things...either talk to that teacher and explain that you want to get along with her and want to understand exactly what she expects of you and why. Better yet, talk to a school counselor to see if maybe you should transfer out of the class (in case its just a situation where the two of you just can't get along)...AND make sure you talk to the counselor about your feelings of pressure in school and of wanting to commit suicide. Please, please, please, I urge you to get help. More people than you realize would be incredibly devastated if you were gone. Talk to SOMEONE! Any responsible adult!! Ok, please?

Grow up. You have a "cranky" teacher and you want to commit suicide over her?
The title of your post has nothing to do with your details. Your teacher is right expecting you to write correctly.
Again, grow up. We all had problems in high school. Get over it.

Just don't commit suicide. We all go through that phase. We just get tired of everything. Hey, I know. Life can be to wonderful to let go of. Talking about what bothers you always works.

Why would killing yourself be the answer? That doesn't make any damn sense. If it's THAT bad, which I doubt it really is, something tells me you're exaggerating, then talk to your school about not having her has a teacher anymore.
