Reason of Violation:Not a Question or Answer
This is OBVIOUSLY the poster not enjoying my response, and so flagging it. Yahoo removes it. Does that make Yahoo guilty of censorship, or guilty of not paying attention to abuse of the reporting function?
Be it known - the next fundie that responds to any of my questions will be reported for anything I feel like, just because I dont agree with you. Multiple times. See how you enjoy it.

there are some malicious people on this site who make a career out of reporting people so that they lose points
incidentally, can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.
If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.
I will be reporting EVERY one from now on

Well, that's pretty much what I would ask him...and it is an answer, so I don't see the problem/violation. Apparently different points of view are just not to be had on a Q/A board....??
I got a violation for calling someone silly because they didn't know that a potato was both a starch and a veggie. Talking about God/Religion with some of the folks on here...you might make their head explode. I understand that it can't be a free for all, but this reporting thing has gotten out of hand. (I fully expect to be reported for this. I did, after all, use the word silly.)
I think Pondlife ver 1.0 above has the right idea.

Yahoo doesnt actually go over what is going on in the answers section there was a big debate about it a couple months ago. Yahoo just automatically sends out the notices and deletes the question. I tried arguing with them about it and got my account deleted for it, and it was just a question about why people in pittsburgh thought the steelers would make the playoffs. People like the control they have when they see an answer or question get deleted. My opinion is that Yahoo needs to hire people to actually look into it before they start erasing stuff.

A shame. That answer was a good one. It sounds like whoever flagged it was fishing for a reason to report you too- that was definately an answer to that question.
To answer yours, no Y!A does not pay any attention at all to what people report, nor do I think they care. It could have been anyone who reported it though, not just the poster.

I have complained about it a bunch of times ! all the feed back I got was the same thing over and over again! my question is ,If I answer a question with what I think is my choice of words and yahoo says its not an answer , would that fall under forbidding me to speak freely and openly! where do they get off telling me that my answer isn't one! my question isn't one!
but you have to realize that if someone flags you ,they can put in whatever ,and yahoo never checks it , just gives you the violation!

various YA is merely laptop responses and not actual people. I had an answer pulled AFTER it became chosen the ultimate answer by using the asker. How is THAT achievable, If the respond became genuine, then why wasn't the question pulled as a substitute? The question became no longer reported.

Complain back on that one. You will sometimes get Yahoo to rescind the decision. That should not have been removed.

It might not have been the asker who objected. Unfortunately the "censors" seem to be illiterate. And they just take the word of any complainer.
