Would Jesus approve?

I don't know.
It's just not done! Not in my synod, at any rate. So I tend to think it would be weird. I have listened to women speakers at churches befoe and been fine with it but never a woman presiding over a church. I don't think Jesus said anything about women presiding. Maybe in a round about way like a parable that could be applied, but none come to mind right now.

The Bible is clear on the issue of women preachers.

1 Corinthians 14:34-36 we read, "Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says ... for Adam was formed first, then Eve."

As a Christian woman I do not find that unfair for a couple of reasons. (1) What God ordains, I must obey. Pleasing God is a joy for me. Therefore, I'm delighted to do as He says. (2) If you read the rest of Corinthians and Ephesians, you'll find many verses that talk about equality of women, women leading women's groups, how men must - yes must - treat their wives.

I understand that women have had to fight for equal pay, etc., and I'm right there with my sisters, but when God says no, He means no. We understand clearly other admonitions in the Bible. Once you start saying, "Well, this one Jesus would ..." you're on a slippery slope. Why can't we accept that with peace and gratitude for the joy He brings to our lives?

yes Jesus would approve that there can be a women preacher. Women should be allowed to be a preacher.

Yes, I think that Jesus would approve this, provided:
1) That woman was truly called by God.
2) That woman had the gift of preaching and ministering.
3) That woman had the heart to follow God's teaching.

If those issues are truly from God, then God who knows the intentions of our hearts, and calls each of us who call ourselves Christians, into a ministry, would definitely approve of a woman minister.

Yes. He would.
Paul mentioned once about women to keep silent and it was a cultural thing and because it's only mentioned once it's descriptive not a pattern for us to follow.

Jesus would wholeheartedly approve. Paul wouldn't, and it's his brand of Christianity that's out there today.

Women are to have no authority over men'
They are to keep silent.

They are not allowed to talk in church, if a woman has a question, she is to go home and ask her husband.
