Let’s say that you have had tribulations preserving a winning relationship…. that is—you get held responsible by your boyfriend/girlfriend as if you were the fault. This always seems to come up when the relationship is or about to come to an end. You are always put as if “you” were the cause. Is this true… because I think it took two to set up or finale a relationship not just one person.

That would depend entirely upon what happened in the relationship. Did you do things to make the other person unhappy. Sometimes it is one persons fault that things don't work out.

The answer is usually individualized by situation, it can be and mostly is fault on both sides, but sometimes is one partner that cheats which causes relationship to end, so I would say it depends of the situation and the cause of the break-up of the relationship.

Well, that would depend on the situation.
If I cheated, and the mrs then calls a halt to the relationship, I could hardly say it was a decision reached by the TWO of us, could I?
But, saying that. No-one wants to be seen as the instigator of a finale, as you call it. Everyone looks for someone to blame on these occasions. We all want to be known as the 'good guy'.

oh yes.. it takes two to tango ! and if a relationship needs to be saved or if it needs to go anywhere at all, then first of all, both have to accept responsibilities for things that may have gone wrong.. otherwise, it's no relationship at all, atleast not a healthy one...
this being said, i'm not really a relationship expert and so this may not be completely true ..

Those are people that are probably more at fault then you. The ones that blame. Those same people like to say its your fault when they cheat

well i don't think sum1 saying "oh its over and its all my fault" is goin to be a good reason to split up. if sum1 wants to break up with u its bcoz they were unhappy about one or many things u have contributed to.
