Okay. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 8 months now, and in school, we always used to hold hands down the hallways to our classes, and I loved it! It shows that we love eachother, and makes my day better(: He's recently stopped doing it, and has no good excuse whatsoever. The first excuse he gave me was "I don't want the guys from the team to see", even though they know we've had sex! Why is he doing this? Please help me!

either they are making fun of him and he is not emotionally mature enough to stand up like a man..(he's a boy.. I know)..or he has a crush on another girl you don;t know about... and can't risk her seeing you two hold hands...only reason!!

How is he when you are not at school? Thats BS about the guys on the team. You have been dating 8 months, the whole school knows by now. He has got something going on in his head and its not about just not wanting to hold hands. Its up to you to find out.

Because he is being honest with you, he doesn't want ANYONE to see, he is ashamed of you as his girlfriend, heck he might even be going after another girl, and doesn't want her to see. I don't know this doesn't seem like love, and I hope your not proud that all his 'team' knows you two had sex, c'mon now, is that even showing respect for youreslf? I'm sure he bragged it to all his friends huh, well i hope you learn soon enough that now that you had sex with him, your relationship is going to change, and from the looks of it NOT for the better. You think it's love now, but you will soon realize it really isn't if he isn't willing to hold your HAND. Sorry girl

Because the newness has worn off and he has conquered the challenge....unfortunately, you are both young so it is likely he will move on to something new. This will be the story for many years to come. Keep that in mind, and know that if and when it happens that it had nothing to do with you. If it is not meant to be, do not dwell on it and do not be miserable. Embrace your freedom and take some time to find out who you are and know that there is a better, more worthy guy out there for you!

Could just be that the honeymoon is officially over. Men don't typically stay the same as that sweet, caring, affectionate guy you met once the relationship is firmly established. They change a lot once they know it's in the bag. But it could also be that his feelings for you are changing. If it bothers you so much you need to just talk to him and be sure and let him know that you want him to be honest.

sweetie, first off, y do his friends know u've had sex? it's none of their biz!! he's actin that way cuz his buddies r probably teasin him, sayin he whooped and stuff like that...u may have 2 content urself with receivin affection when no 1 else is around, or he may become secure enough 2 where what his friends say doesn't matter, but that doesn't usually happen 4 a lotta years...

Sometimes guys can be really self conscious. Talk to him about it again and tell him how much you miss it when he does it. If that doesnt work then youre going to have to do some investigating to find out what the source of the probem is.

Sounds like he probably got teased by some of his buddies. As long as he still treats you the same way (with the exception of of the hand holding at school) - i wouldn't worry too much about it.

sounds like "the guys" might have started joshing him about being "whipped" or a "sissy." Either that or he's becomming dis-interested. Talk to him...ask him for a legitimate answer and to stop using his friends as an excuse.

Hate to break it to you - and, being the age you are you will ignore it - but you do not love each other. You are kids who don't even know what love is. he got his sex, and now he's moving on. That's what most guys do.
