I would say March or April so that way you do not have to be pregnant during the summer. I hear that is really hard. Also if you have the baby in March or April you do not have to worry about having a brand new baby in the winter.

I had my son during May and thought it was great. I didn't have to deal with all that weight during the Texas summer heat and by the time the cold started to hit (the area I'm in snows) my son was already a few months old. I was passed the paranoid parent of a newborn stage and was already used to everything with him that when the cold would start comming in, I knew how much of everything I would need..lol. I'm having my daughter this May and after weighting in 30 lbs heavier than before pregnancy and still have 2 more months to go, I couldn't be happier to be getting rid of the weight again before the heat. I actually felt alot cooler in the heat after having my son.

I had my daughter in late October and I was really happy with the timing. It was late enough in the season that I was still relatively comfortable during the heat of the summer, and her birthday is early enough that it doesn't get grouped together with or forgotten about because of the rest of the "holiday season". Also, since the birthday isn't mid-winter, I'll generally be able to choose either an indoor or outdoor birthday party for her.

I'm not a parent, but have worked in schools for a long time. I'm not sure what the schools are like outside of the US, but if you are in the US...I would say January through early summer because schools tend to use a Dec. or Jan. 1st birth date deadlines for entrance. Later in life it doesn't make much of a difference, but trends point to children being more developmentally and socially prepared to enter school when they are slightly older.

Springtime, March, that way you can take the newborn out for some fresh air, not risk a chill and you have all summer to get back into shape.

I would have to say spring, so you don't have to deal with the swollen ankles and heat of the summer.
