Vero, but it's at the heart of so many languages, so it's still incredibly useful to learn Latin. Learn Latin, and you'll have a great vocabulary.

yes latin is a dead language. it doesnt have to do with learning it but with speaking it and latin isnt spoken anymore. i learned latin at school too but still, latin is a dead language that lives through italian, spanish, portugues..
