I just purchased a used set of Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels. I don't know the model year. How can I tell if they are 10sp compatible?

Thanks

If they have either an eight or nine speed cassette the ten speed will go on also. The ten speed chain is narrower and the cassette has closer spacings. Your shifter will need to be ten speed. Your chain wheels and rear deraileur will need to be compatible also.

Well seeing that you have already purchased the wheels I guess it doesn't really make much difference. Anyhow.
I have a set of the Ksyrium wheels, they're the SSC wheels. The first ones to hit the market. They are 9spd compatible with a spacer. The Elites came the a year or two after so I would guess they are 10 sp compatible with no problem.
If you want to find out for sure go to your LBS and try a 10spd cassette to see if it fits, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem letting you try one too see. Then you will know for sure.
