I am on Effexor xr and think that this maybe the cause but the doctor dosent think so. They have drawn blood twice and i just did a 24 hour urine test.

Concerned, yes. Worry, no! It iseasy to say, but worry does nothing but get you all bent out of shape.

Being sent to a specialist is nothing special. He just may have some equipment your doctor may not have.

You need to see your doctor for these answers. All we can do here is give suggestions.

I can't imagine that Effexor would cause such side effects.

Your doctor has done the right thing to test your blood and do a 24 hour urine. Wait for the results.

It sounds like you have either a kidney or bladder infection. Or you might have kidney or bladder stones. You also might have a urinary tract disease.

Try not to worry until there is something to worry about. Then take good care of yourself.

Agree thoroughly with greydoc. Your ureter would nicely be obstructed by a stone. you want a renal ultrasound and/or an IVP besides as soreness drugs and far of fluids. rigidity the urine to seize the stone if it passes and put it aside for prognosis.. Obstructed kidneys are extra fairly contaminated. So get yours dealt with earlier it receives worse. See a urologist in case you could.
