Nope. Too many people however use music as a scapegoat when negative things happen to young people, i.e., suicide, which isn't music's fault, but attributed to an already disturbed youth's underlying problem, which is the parent's job to address and help with instead of finding something else to blame.

Music has always been a factor in the lives of people. The trouble with some of today's music is that a lot of it dwells too much on the bad things in life.

When hearing about so many of the bad things in life, many people forget to think of the good things in life. Then they have nothing to say except bad things about life. It makes for a lot of very unhappy, unsatisfied, people that don't know how to have a happy life.

I definitely think that music has the power to form negative or postitive thoughts.

Look at hate music. Any music that tells you to smack your b*tches & wh*res is hate music directed at women... & frankly I can't understand why woman listen to it, much less love the artist & think that artist is wonderful.

Music talking about hurting others, hurting ones self with drinking or drugs. Or how about how cool it is to "cap" an ememy? Or how much fun it is be stoned or pushing drugs?

Of course there is music that lifts you up & makes you feel good. Sends a positive message or makes you think about an issue that needs to be heard. There are plenty of examples in all music genre's.

The music of today is not very good. Not like in the past.
If it wasn't for American Idol, wow they need to have
a show where they look at the past singers again, for
record deal possibilities.

nice question... well, i think so.... but the people of all ages should have atleast common sense and say..oh that would never happen or talking about nasty things is not appropiate at all... you get me? And all that stuff maybe cool but not a way of living or to want to be..Because all of that is so immature and kind of dumb... like who wants to know if your riding dirty? in fact, HOW do you ride dirty? well, yeaaa that's my opinion.take it for what it is.
